A mixture of diary entry,
water and powdered milk.

FASCINOMA is a folk-pop ensemble fronted by Alanna Lin Ramage, a.k.a. Chairmeowww. Based in Los Angeles, she captivates audiences with soothing vocals, humor, poetry, and just enough performance art to keep things interesting.

The name comes from medical slang — an unexpected and inexplicable recovery. The music lives in that same liminal space: between the funny and the devastating, the sacred and the profane, a road you're walking because somebody stole your car.

The debut album was produced by John Paterno and Raffaello Mazza. Now Now Chairmeowww was co-produced with Chris Schlarb and mixed by Husky Hoskulds. Currently recording new material with Dan Paquin, Michael Starr, and BC.

Alanna's silky smooth and sultry voice is almost paralyzing. Paralyzing in a good way — like when you're in bed at that point where you are drifting between a dream and consciousness.

What They Said

The SHEER Magazine

One of the weirdest "why didn't they make more music" 00s bands in the history of indie/folk rock... after their masterpiece self-titled album, they dropped this cover album. The changes to the originals truly come off as their own songs. No-skips top to bottom. They may have outdone The Beatles on a few songs, especially on Happiness is a Warm Gun.

buzzbands.la

The delicious intersection of tragedy and comedy in matters of heart hardly gets tastier... "I Shot Neil Young" is a droll riff on the classic, and "Jesus Comes Back As a Homeless Man" is genius.

National Catholic Reporter

Songs are fun, quirky, honest and free-spirited... Think Regina Spektor, Japanese Breakfast and Cat Power. Her stage presence is no exception — she is quite the spectacle.

NOW Magazine

Her smoky voice, wrapped around her bluesy compositions, sucks you in so fast that her painfully personal narratives don't hurt a bit.

Wednesday Night Sessions

Starting after Easter, the band gathers on Wednesday nights to rehearse and play live. Subscribe to join us.
